Random Thoughts by Molly’s Dad

8 Dec

When I told my dad about this blog he decided to spread his wisdom via Because Molly Said So. Yesterday when I got home from work, he pulled out 3 pages of paper with his thoughts and questions, handwritten (it’s faster that way, since he types with his two index fingers). Enjoy, but please don’t send me the answers to his questions. I think they are meant to be unanswered.

Random Thoughts & Questions by Tom McKenna, Sr.

I am blogging for Molly until she returns from vacation in Cuba.

  • Terry Francona was the best modern day manager of the Red Sox.
  • When did sunroofs become moonroofs and what is the difference?
  • A double cheeseburger at McDonald’s for a dollar is a good value.
  • How can newspapers stay in business when you can read them online for free?
  • I always wanted MTV  to showcase my house on “Cribs” so at the end of the show I could tell the camera crew, “Now get outta here!”.
  • If you’re looking for a prototype of the modern day baseball player, look no further than Jacoby Ellsbury.
  • Are those clunkers that go into the garage on “Pimp My Ride” really the same ones that came out? If they are, I want Xzibit to put chrome smokestacks and a spoiler on my wife’s 2000 Hyundai station wagon.
  • It’s pretty bad when multi-millionaire ballplayers can’t be trusted to do the right thing…you know, like stay in shape for the season.
  • I think the NBA settled their labor dispute because both the union and management realized that the public didn’t care if there was going to be a season or not.
  • Grumpy White’s probably has the best clam chowder in the world.
  • Does a Kindle tell you what page you’re on?
  • I wish they would cancel the Kardashian’s show.
  • If the Kardashians were on the show Survivor, they would be the first ones voted off.
  • A Christmas wreath on the front of an old beaten up Chevy pick-up truck makes it. A wreath on a new shiny Lexus doesn’t.
  • Celebrities who have long running T.V. shows like Regis and Oprah can never walk away. Does this mean they are prisoners of their own success?
  • I want man Uggs for Christmas…beige ones…with the fur….showing on the outside. That would be cool.
  • I went to the store today and it was good.
  • Oh, uhhh, just ran out of random thoughts.
